Description: The Multiplier Event Learn4Earth Presentation II will be facilitated as a workshop, presenting the work from several of the Learn4Earth Intellectual Outputs through lectures, discussions and showcases. The Multiplier Event will invite pupils, teachers and relatives from Washingborough Academy, as well as from other schools in the local area, to promote the new and innovative learning and teaching methods, developed during the Learn4Earth. It is the intention that the pupils participating in the Learn4Earth project will be facilitating the showcasing of some of the hands-on activities developed and tested in Learn4Earth.

The overall objective of the Learn4Earth Presentation II Event will be to promote Learn4Earth, share knowledge and best practices and raise awareness about Climate, Environment and Food and the importance of implementing these subjects into the curricula of European schools, therefore, local policymakers and other relevant stakeholders will be invited to enhance the knowledge and support partnerships that can benefit from the Learn4Earth project results and findings, thereby enhancing more sustainable consumerism now and in the future through new and innovative learning methods. All guest will be invited to experience, test and evaluate the presented Learn4Earth hands-on activities.

The event will be facilitated by Washingborough Academy in close collaboration with Health Education Trust. It is the intention that facilitating open discussions with pupils, teachers and the local community will create a new level of ideas and innovative thinking, as it allows for an eye-level and user-centred approach in regards to all levels of society, from pupil to politician to the local food producer. Furthermore, the open-access workshop will benefit the Learn4Earth project with new inputs from external users, as well as create communication with possible future partners while raising awareness about Climate, Environment and Food and the importance of adding this to the school curricula in order to educate and empower pupils to create behaviour changes, supporting them becoming more sustainable consumers now and in the future.

The Learn4Earth Presentation II event will, furthermore, present Learn4Earth findings and results to promote the Learn4Earth project as a whole, as well as the final Learn4Earth Handbook, included transferable and applicable teacher manuals for the Learn4Earth methodologies, approaches and hands-on activities for others to benefit from. Additionally, the Learn4Earth Presentation II will be promoted through local and national media to promote and create awareness on Learn4Earth as well as the new and innovative initiative of developing new teaching materials (Learn4Earth Handbook) concerning Climate, Environment and Food to add to the curricula in European schools.
